My major was Science and Technology Studies, which I switched to after deciding that Comp Sci was not for me.  I think STS prepared me for a career in IT (and now moving into IT management) better than CS ever could have.  Understanding the influences of history, sociology, politics, and marketing on technology helps me better navigate the issues ( Read more... )
